Domaine Bony Gachot - Nuits-Saint-Georges Rouge 2022

Domaine Bony Gachot is small, family domaine in Nuits-Saint-Georges run by Fabienne Bony. In the 1960's, Jean-Pierre Bony founded the estate along with his wife, and in 2000, their daughter, Fabienne, tool control. Since she's taken over, Fabienne and her husband have increased the domaine's vineyard holdings to 6 hectares, while also negotiating contracts with growers throughout the Côtes de Nuits. In the vineyards Fabienne practices lutte raisonnée – adapting their vine treatments according to the true threat of disease, using products which respect the environment as much as possible, and only using chemical products if no other solution can be found. Traditional winemaking practices in the cellar result in wines of purity, expression and class.

Fabienne’s Nuits-Saint-Georges explodes out of the glass with high-toned aromas of pomegranate, spiced raspberry preserves and a touch of licorice. The wine shows an exquisite balance of finesse and concentration. The palate is bursting with gorgeous red fruit flavors buttressed by ultra-fine tannins and a incredibly vibrant acidity. This is superb village-level red Burgundy that drinks like a Premier Cru! Absolutely stunning!
