Situated in Lasseube in the heart of Jurançon, Clos Guirouilh is a longstanding family estate where owner/winemaker Jean Guirouilh crafts a range of expressive wines that showcase the remarkable versatility of the region’s Manseng varieties. The domaine produces both dry and sweet Jurançon, including their acclaimed La Peïrine, as well as richer Moelleux and late-harvest bottlings. The estate’s vineyards include the limestone marl and rocky terraces characteristic of the area, while the wines balance the generous fruit and natural richness of Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng with the vibrant freshness that defines Jurançon. A constant presence in the Guide Hachette (considered to be France' most authoritative guide and commonly referred to as the bible of the French wine), Clos Guirouilh has earned consistent recognition for both its dry and sweet wines over the years.

The Clos Guirouilh Jurançon Sec opens with a fragrant mélange of citrus and orchard fruit, followed by ripe peach, apricot and hints of tropical fruit. On the palate, the wine is both supple and energetic, with a rounded, almost creamy texture balanced by the bright acidity that gives Jurançon its trademark freshness. Subtle mineral and citrus notes carry through to a long, mouthwatering finish, making this an especially versatile white for the table. Pour it with oysters and shellfish, goat cheese, trout with lemon and herbs, roast chicken with a pan sauce or a classic Basque preparation featuring peppers and tomatoes.
