Description

Château Riviere Lacoste was established in 1931 when Paul Dauvin settled in Langon, in the Graves region south of Bordeaux on the left bank of the Garonne. Riviere Lacoste benefits from a temperate climate ideally suited to viticulture, with mild temperatures and regular rainfall. Dauvin planted the first vines shortly after his arrival, establishing the foundation of what would become a multigenerational family domaine. In 1955, stewardship passed to his son-in-law Jean Brussac, then overseeing just two hectares, before further expansion to seven hectares when Antonio Molinari joined the family in 1957. The next chapter began in 1988 when Pascal Molinari, Dauvin’s great-grandson, returned to the vineyard after a successful career in IT. Today, the estate is led by his daughter, Charlotte Molinari, representing the fifth generation. Under her direction, Château Riviere Lacoste has grown to 22 hectares while remaining faithful to its founding philosophy, practicing viticulture raisonnée, holding HVE certification, and currently in conversion to organic farming.
