Château Léoville Barton - Saint-Julien 2012

Château Léoville Barton was established in 1826 by third-generation wine merchant Hugh Barton purchased a plot from the Léoville domaine. The château was ranked as a Deuxièmes Cru (Second Growth) in the 1855 Classification of Bordeaux The estate has remained in the hands of the Barton family since its inception. Today, Anthony Barton oversees the property's 47 hectares planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc in their prized soils of gravel over clay subsoil.
