Charles Père et Fille - "Les Fremiets" Volnay Premier Cru 2019

Charles Père et Fille is a family estate located in Nantoux, and have been grape-growers and winemakers in Burgundy for several generations. However, it wasn't until 1960, when the domaine started estate-bottling its wines, that they began to make a name for themselves. Everything at the estate is of the highest quality, from the work in the vineyards to the cellar and beyond. Pascal Charles and his daughter, Pauline, work diligently to ensure their wines are of true representations of the terroir in which they are grown.

The Charles Père et Fille Volnay Premier Cru Les Fremiets is made from 100% Pinot Noir on very thin soils. The grapes are fully destemmed, fermented in vat, and aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. Ruby in color with violet hightlights, the wine emits aromas of violet, cherry and spice. On the palate, the wine is silky smooth with excellent length and wonderful concentration of fruit and floral flavors. Enjoy with marinated venison and Bresse chicken.
