Cave des Producteurs de Vouvray - C. Greffe "Excellence" Vouvray Brut

The Caves de Producteurs de Vouvray was founded by a group of growers back in 1953. Today, forty vinegrowers with 520 hectares of vineyards across the entire Vouvray appellation are responsible for growing, harvesting and making wine from the Chenin Blanc grape. Half of their harvest goes to the Cave de Vouvray, including still and base wines for the production of Fines Bulles de Vouvray, or Vouvray sparkling wine.

The Excellence sparkling Vouvray Brut is made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes in the traditional method. This wine has a light, fine mousse, giving it more of a vinous character and quality. The acidity is crisp and lively with flavors of fresh apples, dry honey and a touch of toast, making the wine complex, but also exceptionally drinkable. The varietal characteristics of the Chenin Blanc grape are readily apparent. Enjoy as an aperitif, but also pair this beautiful sparkler with rich fish dishes, white meats and assorted cheeses.
