Ca'n Verdura Viticultors - "Supernova" Blanc 2025

Ca'n Verdura Viticultors is a micro-winery founded in 2012 by Mallorcan native Tomeu Llabrés in a former auto garage in the Binissalem denomination, located in the north-central portion of Mallorca. Tomeu has focused his energy and attention on the ancient indigenous varietal Mantonegro, producing stunning wines. After receiving his degree in oenology in Tarragona, Tomeu gained experience with Alvaro Palacios in Priorat before returning to Mallorca where he worked at three of the larger estates on the island. Tomeu sources grapes from old-vine vineyards trained in the traditional en vaso (goblet) system in cal vermell, red clay soil with limestone, and small to medium-sized pebbles.

Ca’n Verdura’s Supernova Blanc is a wonderfully expressive take on Moll, Mallorca’s indigenous white grape, balancing bright Mediterranean freshness with a subtle, savory complexity. The nose opens with lifted aromas of citrus and orchard fruit, layered with delicate white flowers and a distinctly herbal, almost anise-like, note. On the palate, lemon, pear and white peach are framed by lively acidity and a gentle, creamy texture, while a fine, saline mineral streak carries through to a long, refreshing finish. Fresh and textured, the Supernova Blanc is a versatile partner for grilled Mediterranean vegetables, oysters, ceviche, grilled shrimp, simply prepared white fish or roast chicken.
