Mokoroa is a new winery located in the area of Urteta in Zarautz. The family Mokoroa Tolosa settled in Zarautz in 1992 and purchased the farmhouse Kortaburu. Beginning in 2008, they produced a txakoli from 7 hectares of the variety Hondarrabi Zuri and Beltza. The winery has modern facilities and produces a high quality txakoli.

The vineyards are located about 20 km from San Sebastian just west of the town along the coast.

It is a white wine with varietal character marked by pale yellow color with clear and bright, lime-green tones. It has intense fruity aromas typical of the variety and reminiscent of peach, apple and fresh grass, and also some floral notes. On the palate the txakoli is fresh, balanced and with a touch of bitterness. The wine has a small bit of carbonation that makes it fun and youthful and makes the wine on your palate soft and light.
