2011 Les Grandes Brieres - Jean Tiessedre - Domaine des Berioles St Pourcain Blanc
Domaine des Bérioles is an unknown estate, even in France. It is nestled in the village of Cesset on place de l'eglise, with a population of roughly 370 people. The estate was taken over by Olivier and his wife Delphine from his father Jean Teissèdre a few years ago. Upgrading to modern standards, Olivier and Delphine have added concrete vats, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and new barrels. The Domaine is only seven hectares. Trésaille is a local white varietal native to Saint Pourcain in Frances’ Loire Valley. The varietal is known for its expression of fine fruit notes and sharp acidity driven by a firm mineral backbone. It is best served at 50 degrees and alongside seafood and cooked fish. |
