The Chateau Poitevin Cru Bourgeois is a blend of 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2009 vintage has perfectly ripened fruits with great intensity and definition on the nose. Blackcurrant, cassis, cedar and tobacco billow from the glass. The palate is fine, with firm tannins that grip all the way to the beautiful, minute-long finish. A touch of minerality supports notes of coffee, cocoa and leather that combine to feel like a light textured suede on the palate. This is an exceptionally structured and balanced Bordeaux blend of supreme pedigree.
