2009 Chateau Mouton Rothschild - Chateau Rothschild Aile d'Argent
The only white wine produce from the Rothschild's estate in Bordeaux, the Ailes de Argent takes a special meaning to the exceptional new wine. The name derives from a children's fairytale Baron de Phillippe Rothschild had shared with his daughter the Baroness Phillippine. Ailes de Argent translates into 'silver wing', a teapot who plays a hero in this magical tale.
The wine has a brilliant pale yellow colour. Aromatically the nose is generous, offering soft mineral notes and zesty citrus fruit complemented by aromas of fleshy white fruit, peaches and fresh apricot.
The wine is smooth and delicate on the palate. The mid-palate, especially suave, displays a range of floral notes like lime tree and acacia.
The long and fresh finish contributes to enrich the elegance of Aile d’Argent 2009.
