DOMAINE DES POMPLES is a rosé wine of great elegance, typical of the appellation. The Brissy family has been the proprietor of the Domaine des Pomples since the beginning of the 19th century. Its name, DOMAINE DES POMPLES Rosé, originated from the People Pompilia (Xuma Pompilius, second king of Rome), and it is situated in the village Cabasse, near the Via Aurelia, on the south of the Thoronet Abbey. Located in the north massive Jurassic region in a permeable sinkhole backfilled with a stony colluvial soil araising from a red clay matrix, this vineyard has 25 acres on a rocky plateau at 300 meters altitude, surrounded by woods containing a wide variety of Mediterranean species, geological and microclimates that render particularly favorable conditions for wine growing. Stones, sun and wind associated with cultivating the quality grape varieties of DOMAINE DES POMPLES Rosé, composed, for rosé wines, from Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, bring out the best of these noble varietals. Created as a result of modern vinification methods, within a strictly controlled temperature environment, DOMAINE DES POMPLES rose wines are developed from specifications established by the House of Vins Bréban, which has the exclusive distribution rights for the estate's wines. The vineyard is a part of the AOC Côtes de Provence area, the largest Provence appellation. This is the northern part of the designation area, where the grapes ripen slowly, a place where wine under AOC Côtes de Provence rosés are most popular. Qualitative progress made in recent years by the winemakers under the name are of AOC Côtes de Provence rosé wines is illustrated by creation of wine of great elegance, similar to the DOMAIN POMPLES Rose wine.

A blend of 40% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 20% Syrah and 5% of the local grapeTibouren, the Domaine des Pomples is pink in appearance; possessing a delicate nose, with fruity mineral-like flavors. It's a bright, delightful and memorable wine of great character. Served chilled, it pairs well with grilled meats and especially white meat dishes. It is also appreciated, of course, as an aperitif.

The Péché Coquin is pale pink in color and its aromatics showcase peach, lavender and spice notes. In the mouth, an infusion of strawberry and red berries are accentuated by a touch of nectar and light spices.

Two of Burgundy's greatest names – Jacques Seysses, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine, co-owner of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti – own this stunning, 113 acre property in Provence, which is recognized as one of the top wine estates in Southern France. Unlike most of the vineyards in the area which are planted on valley floors, Triennes sits on a south-facing slope at about 1,400-1,450 feet above sea level. The soils are rich in limestone and low in organic matter. The relatively cool microclimate helps maintain freshness, vibrancy and balance in the wines. The estate is named after the triennia – festivities in the honor of Bacchus that took place every three years in Roman times.

Small proportions of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre were blended with Cinsault to provide color and tannin to this light pink Rose. The wine presents fresh, appealing notes of red fruits and candy, followed by a round and harmonious finish.
